Warranty claims done in realtime
When the part is being requested by the mechanic and booked out by spares the warranty clerk can start the process finding the operation number.
The mechanic tells the warranty clerk what they have done- no need for mechanic write up, the clerk is entering it straight in.
This way while the vehicle is still in the workshop, if something has been forgotten or there is problem on the warranty claim it can be worked through and fixed.
The mechanic might even learn how to do the claim on the system
